After 10+ years of community engagement and planning, the Santa Monica City Council approved the redevelopment of the Miramar Hotel on September 29, 2020. Support at the public hearings was overwhelming and deeply appreciated.

We would like to thank everyone who participated in this process and supported our efforts to improve our 100-year-old hotel over the last ten years. Our heartfelt thanks go out to those who waited hours to speak in support at the City Council meeting, sent in hundreds of letters and have been our strongest advocates in the community. We would not have been successful without your overwhelming support.
The proposed project is now moving forward with its Coastal Commission approval process – stay tuned for more updates on that process.
